Ancestral Wellness Class on March 7th

We were planning to talk about saturated fats in class tomorrow, but thought a question and answer session, complete with food samples sounded like a better idea.  Bring a friend, and be prepared to ask questions about the eating plan, practical tips, etc.  See you at Woodlands Family Medicine at 5:30!

Supplemental Support for Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome is a complex condition, which includes insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia and is usually, but not always, associated with obesity. Local Resources for Ancestral Wellness

Hi all,

Thanks for stopping by.  The classes are continuing, and last night's was on metabolic syndrome/pre-diabetes.  Hopefully, you were able to get some good information from the talk.  I mentioned some local resources for organic produce, meat, etc.  Don't forget, Winter Ridge Market  on (Lake St. and Hwy 2 behind Dub's) has LOTS of paleo-friendly foods, and local meat and produce.  They're a great local resource and are open 7 days a week, 8 am to 8 pm.

Another resource is Six Rivers Market.  It's a local food co-op that is based out of DiLuna's.  You place your order online between Friday and Monday, and pick up your order on Weds.    Below, see a copy of the latest email I received from them (in Italics, so you can see what they sent).  Email me if you have questions or concerns, or as always - take care and have a great weekend!

The order cycle is now open!  Login here and begin shopping for the freshest products, grown locally for you, on Six Rivers Market.

ON SALE THIS WEEK:

Potatoes - 50 lbs ($0.80/lb or $40)

Potatoes - 10 lbs ($1/lb or $10)

Thank you for continuing to support your local farmers & local food!

Remember that pick-up is Wednesday from 3:30 to 6:00 PM at Di Luna's at 207 Cedar Street!

This email was sent by Six Rivers Market at PO Box 255, Sandpoint, ID 83864.

I will also check the Co-Op store in Ponderay to see if they still have their periodical with the local producers listed.  Thanks.  Janelle
